First, welcome to the amazing, often hated, world of Hybrid Musicians! Since most people tend to go one way or another, and the people who decide to travel through the middle are left stranded, I thought I'd help out. This guide should give you a better idea of the potential of a Hybrid Musician, and can be used as a guideline as to how to build your Hybrid Musician. I used to have a Hybrid Musician myself, and must say, I outperformed most pure Party Musicians not with skills, but with talent. In other words, skills don't make the player, players make the skills? >.> If that made any sense.
1.0 What is a Hybrid Musician?
The definition of a Hybrid Musician varies, but it is usually a Musician that has both pet and party skills. The combination usually ends up sub par, so very careful considerations must be made to ensure you will have enough points for what you want. A Hybrid Musician will be sub par to a full Pet Muse, and a full Party Muse. However, A Hybrid Musician is able to still carry out both positions if built correctly.
1.1 Why be a Hybrid Musician?
People can be Hybrid Musicians for several reasons. One is that they enjoy having small parties with a group of friends, and need both pet and party skills. If you ONLY party or ONLY solo, it is better to not go with the following Hybrid Musician builds. Hybrid Musicians are for people who both solo and party.
1.2 Advantages of a Hybrid Musician
+ Able to party and solo
+ Countless skill combinations to pick from
+ Not a lame duck if you can't find a party
1.3 Disadvantages of a Hybrid Musician
+ Sub par to a full Pet Musician or Party Musician
+ Not exactly welcomed into most parties, so correct builds are a must
+ Have to skip some party and pet skills
2.0 Hybrid Musician Stat Builds
A Hybrid Musician can go with pretty much whatever, though important stats are obviously Wisdom and Agility.
Skill Spammer:The Skill Spammer stat build involves increasing 3 Wisdom every level. This gives optimum MP recovery and max MP, but no cooldown reduction and only Magic Defence, no Evasion of any kind.Code: Select all
MP Pool: .......... |||||||||| (10) Cooldown Reduction: | (1) Survive Factor: ... ||||| (5)
Hybrid:The Hybrid stat build involves increasing 1.5 Wisdom and 1.5 Agility every level (can be 3 Agility one level and 3 Wisdom the next level). This stat build provides decent cooldown, survive factor, and MP pool/recovery.Code: Select all
MP Pool: .......... ||||| (5) Cooldown Reduction: ||||| (5) Survive Factor: ... ||||||| (7)
Agile:The Agile stat build involves going 2 Agility 1 Wisdom until Agility is 103. This build provides optimum cooldown and survive factor, but Magic Defence and MP recovery won't be quite as good. After 103 Agility, you can train Wisdom or another stat.Code: Select all
MP Pool: .......... ||| (3) Cooldown Reduction: |||||||||| (10) Survive Factor: ... |||||||| (8)
2.1 Experimental Hybrid Musician Stat Builds
These stat builds are experimental, and may benefit a select few of people. If you want a build that'll work well, select one from section 2.0 and not this section, as these are for those with special needs.
Strength:This build involves going 28 dex, 2 Strength 1 Wisdom, and is geared more towards Pet Musicians. This build is most effective on a Musician that needs extra damage while training with a pet. In parties, the extra strengh has little effect.Code: Select all
MP Pool: .......... |||| (4) Cooldown Reduction: | (1) Survive Factor: ... |||| (4) Physical Damage: .. |||||||||| (10)
Accurate Skills:This is the same a the Hybrid stat build with 1/1 Wisdom/Agility, but with 28 dex for more accurate skills. Helpful for people who sub skills from other jobs or people who fight with their pets.Code: Select all
MP Pool: .......... |||| (4) Cooldown Reduction: |||| (4) Survive Factor: ... |||||| (6) Accuracy: ......... |||||||||| (10)
3.0 Hybrid Musician Skill Builds
Best of Both Worlds:This build contains the basics for Party and Pet Musician. With only having the basics, you should be able to get into a party quite easily, though you'll still be sub par to a full Party Musician.Code: Select all
MP Demand: ....||||| (5) Party Skills: .||||||| (7) Pet Skills: ...|||||| (6) Damage Skills: ||| (3)

Tips:
This build is in a constant need for more points, and you will be unable to max all the skills listed above without springs.

4.0 Closing Words
Love them, or most likely hate them, you can't deny the fact that Hybrid Musicians are able to actually solo and party. If you're looking for a build that involves not just being commanded in a party all day long and not soloing all day long, these few builds may be the one you've been looking for.
